I just have to point this out; Minna is not the only one with side effects.

First of all I have hernia, which is way worse than low B12 and folate.

Second of all, I’m on a cortisone treatment, which also gives side effects, more common ones too.

Thirdly, I have one of them really bad. I’m STARVING! I never knew food could be such a delight, and I beg all the time, I follow everyone who dares enter the kitchen, I lie on Minna’s feet while she’s flipping pancakes and I stare into people’s eyes while they eat til they feel extremely uncomfortable. Tomorrow I will try to milk some frolics out of the veterinary.¹

Cyanocobalamin (B12) and Folic Acid

Possible side effects

Cyanocobalamin or hydroxocobalamin does not usually cause any side effects.

However, check with your health care professional immediately if any of the following side effects occur: Itching, rash, acneiform exanthema and urticaria. Symptoms may persist for up to four months after the supplement is stopped, and may require treatment with systemic corticosteroids and topical therapy.

The irony of it all, is that I have ALL of these. If I go out in the sun, I get nettle fever. Big, red spots all over that feel like they are on fire. I can’t move my face without feeling like I’ve injected Botox all over the place. I’m somewhere between a 13-year-old boy and a burn victim. Oh well. Luckily I did book a new appointment to get my neck+hands checked more properly again (not giving up this time). And luckily, I got Dr. V again. I’m gonna cry when she leaves in September. Just my luck with doctors Pretty please can I keep this one?
